The Vigil System was designed by nurses and caregivers specifically to aid inthe care of residents with Alzheimer’s and other forms of Dementia. Residentssuffering from dementia can have difficulties utilizing a traditional nurse callsystem often forgetting what the emergency call button is for all together. TheVigil system addresses this and other issues.
How Does The Vigil System Call For Help?
This system uses passive sensors to monitor the movement of individualswhile in their apartments. It then gathers the information about eachresident s’activities and alerts the caregivers to when these movements aroutside of their normal or safe behavior patterns.
